My favourite hotpot restaurant in Taiwan, period. After the food safety incidents a few years back, my Taiwanese friend recommended other hotpot restaurants in Taichung... but none can match the food and service quality of 鼎王. They serve the best duck blood jelly! I particularly love this branch, as compared to their other branches in Taichung. Call in advance to avoid disappointment.

Loved this place. We had only 90 minutes to enjoy the hot pot which was enough for 4 of us to enjoy both 2 kinds of soup, tofu soup and sour cabbage soup. Personally, I prefered tofu soup becuase it was a little spicy. Order more of slided beef, dumplings and meatballs, and enjoy them with unlimited supply of the soup and plain rice. We were stuffed after the full 90-minute session. Some staff members speak english very well, so there will no problem for tourists to the meals here. Bottomline, it's a must.
