North District, Taichung City｜Hito Fried Dumpling

Went for brunch here on my first day and first time in Taichung, loved the hand made "on-the-spot" pan-fried dumplings; I'll recommend you get the 鲜虾烧饺子 (xian xia shao jiao zi) which is the fresh prawn pan-fried dumplings that were super juicy. Skin is not too thick + the skin and meat ratio is pretty well balanced; enough dumpling skin with each bite! I came about an hour-ish before their lunchtime closing, so there wasn't much people... the space is pretty homey but it is kinda small (i'd say a few table of fours at max), so you might have to wait for awhile if there's a crowd.

Very delicious, the skin is very crispy, much better than Bib Gourmand’s pan-fried buns 🫠
