More Comments at Google MapThe only place in Taichung where Croissant & Pain au chocolat make you feel being in France. If you want to enjoy those bad boy however you will need to be on a schedule, between 2pm and 4pm is your best luck. The bakers start their work at 10am and time to proof and bake the croissant and Pain au chocolat , they won’t be on the shelves prior to 2pm. Since they are good and in short supply, you better come on time. The good news is they open every single day of the week. Plenty of other good pastry, French and Taiwanese.
I met La Boer more than three years ago It’s really a rare and valuable store. Why do you say that... Because the bread quality in Taichung City can maintain such good store quality seems to be approaching 0 From Zhang XX bread near Fu Ke Road (I bought it from Denmark last month and the fillings on it smelled like lard) Bonbxxx opened by Takeshi Mimura XX (it’s undeniable that the brown sugar toast he sold when it opened was the best I’ve ever tasted in my life. A while ago, the quality was reduced to poor quality fillings and cut corners) An x version of a movie made in a small alley (the whole wheat toast is hard to swallow, and the quality of other breads is not as good as it is) Wu x Chun Taichung store (the quality in Kaohsiung is relatively good. Take the brown sugar toast as an example. I bought it once and it actually made my teeth sticky. The distribution of brown sugar is also less than that of tall male) I won’t go into details about other small shops. Perhaps most of the famous stores are just like small stores, they only care about cost down. But this seems hard to see in La Boer. Because maintaining quality is very rare!
If you come here for for baguette and croissant and you are not impressed with this bakery, then you are probably not familiar with these traditional European bakeries. THE BEST TAIWAN HAS TO OFFER, in my humble opinion. And, there are places here and there that have similar quality but this place is a real family business. They are there to help you. They list ingredients most of the time. There are traditional and fusion Taiwanese pastries. They also sell quality butter and make their own yogurt. Very reasonable prices too.
