Authentic and amazing food. Nice place with great atmosphere, too.

{*Taichung Series* New Restaurant alert!} 逸之牛台中精誠店 has entered the Taichung market, a super popular brand from Kaohsiung officially made its way to Taichung, hoping to catch the same spark and fire. I have always wanted to travel down to Kaohsiung for these deep-fried treats and got that opportunity. It was worth the trip from Taipei. Located in the busy West District in Taichung. The intricate menu is designed for all meat lovers and seafood, but deep-fried steaks are their mainstays. The meat range from basic prime chuck to A5 Wagyu to Wagyu tongue to pork to seafood choices. For our orders, we went with Angus prime short rib $530NTD for 100grams and tonkatsu $330NTD for 250 grams (Japanese pork cutlet). The Angus prime short rib comes in at medium-rare temperature, which is already perfect, but if you prefer your temps past medium-rare, you can cook it yourself with the grill on your table. I have to say that the steaks are super tender and the batter crust on the outside is very well-balanced. One of the best I had and would definitely return for more. The tonkatsu is the same, super tender and still packed with the juice. It pairs nicely with the rice. For an additional $120NTD, you can have a set meal and comes with salad, steamed egg and miso soup. We upgraded our rice to Kimchi bowl and tuna bowl for an additional $70NTD each. Boy, my mouth is already salivating writing this post. The service is amazing, they will give you a detailed explanation and an absolutely clean environment to dine in. I can't wait to visit them again in the future. You can bring your family over or your date for these delicious Japanese foods. The dining room's walls and ceiling are plastered with concrete which is beautiful and instagrammable. Don't forget to make a reservation!

Dining experience is pretty good. Service is quick and friendly. Give yourself 1-2 hours. I came on my birthday and they gifted us a complementary Aomori apple ice cream and some deep fried burger patty.
