Hualien City, Hualien County｜花蓮·邊城滇味

Can't wait enough good thing about this restaurant. We visit my dad in Hualien every summer and this is the first place we want to eat at whenever we are home. Food is SUPERB, staffs were friendly. Every dishes I've had were amazingly good. My picky-eater-son also said this is his favorite restaurant.

There seems to be no vinegar in the lemon fish. It tastes full of lemon aroma, refreshing and rich, and the taste is not cloying. The slightly acidic fermented sour beans are full of aroma. The soup of Qianqian shrimp cakes is full and not greasy, and the dipping sauce is moderately flavorful without taking away from the freshness of the shrimp cakes. The shrimp paste water spinach is not fishy and the shrimps are fragrant. A pot of black tea also comes with foaming, which is not casual. Every dish is refreshing but not salty or greasy.

A hidden gem in Hualien City! Nice food at a reasonable price. Pre-book your table if possible to avoid disappointment.
