This was my first real experience with Beijing/Northern China style BBQ mutton and it was a meal to remember. The ribs were some of the most decadent, robust pieces of meat I've ever consumed - the bones fell right out of the fatty, juicy segments of meat, which were barely held together superficicially by the crispy skin. The lamb skewers contained the perfect meat to fat ratio and were seasoned wonderfully with cumin. The side dishes were all simple, but delicious complements to the rich lamb. To dine-in here, you need to pre-order one of the bigger cuts on the menu, which could feed about 4. Dishes are prepared to order and they have their own method of operating that is a little different from other places. All and all, the meal was a novelty and I'd do it again probably once or twice a year.

The leg of lamb is large, just the right degree of doneness, tender and juicy, and there is no mutton smell at all when you bite it. It’s just right for three people to eat and order a few plates of handmade dishes.
