North District, Taichung City｜豐聿町·串燒居酒屋

A well rated bar near to taiping Road in the busy streets of taichung, surrounded by many restaurants and Noodle shops, always wanted to go to a five star rated restaurant, finally we had a great chance to go.. Thank you Debby lin (crazy foodie) for the pics. Ambience is so refreshing Skewers are really tasty and juicy, Salmon fried rice - so fresh and so soft, fried rice was well stirred in the wok, with correct amount of oil and the eggs a little raw and perfect for the rice. Zucchini- a different taste in veggie, kind of sour and sweet, but really fresh for the summer. Green onion with chicken- the local style food (Taiwanese based) deeply caramelized onion fried in chicken, the soupy kind comes from the caramelization which makes the chicken a bit sweet，but the chilli 🌶 made it really good to taste. Chicken heart- have never tasted the heart of the chicken so small, and actually hard to chew, but kind of a liver. Beef with mozzarella cheese- why mozzarella 😋,  why not cheddar or home based cheese, the beef became a little bit too cheesy in taste, because the cheese Dominated the juicy original flavour of the beef, which I did not expect it. Pork with Taro- actually a braised pork with Taro, it's looked like a slowly cooked pork, little bit rubbery but tasty as all the spices gave been infused in the pork which taste really great Ambience was perfect , they do have big tables for groups, so not a problem, suggest one to call and go for reservations..
