Favorite Taiwanese breakfast spot so far!! Highly recommend seeking out this breakfast spot. My plant-based self is assuming the shao bing you tiao (sesame bread with fried dough) is vegan. Option for 1/2 or whole portion. All for the whole portion. Also, option for green onions, sour pickled vegetables, and hot sauce. I went with all of it along with hot soy milk. If I was staying in Taichung longer, I would go back for more. Noticed their non-vegan options looked good too, including omelette for breakfast sandwich and dumplings. A must go to breakfast spot!! And near the park for breakfast with a view. :)

You won’t lose any sesame seeds when you eat this restaurant’s sesame cakes, but you will get a lot of chopped green onions. There is no eye-catching signboard, only the local residents nearby know about it. I can't tell you the name of the store, but the queue of people is the landmark here. The fragrant and spicy sesame cakes are freshly kneaded and baked by the boss every day for you to see. Although they don’t have a golden and charred appearance, they are paired with freshly fried fried dough sticks. They are crispy and not hard at all. Sprinkled with chopped green onion, they are so golden. Combination is the key to victory for the boss to dominate. Paired with salty soy milk and drizzled with special chili oil, the salty, spicy, crispy and crispy taste is all at once, twisting and turning in your mouth. If you want to eat, you have to come early. Last time I arrived at around 7 o'clock, I had to queue up on the main road! Are you waiting for the Croton Demon?

An old place, a must-go breakfast restaurant every time I return to Taiwan. MUST TRY if you ever come to Taiwan.
