Xitun District, Taichung City｜初海食堂

If you are looking for creative and delicious and fun Japanese style grilled meats and seafood, this is definitely one of the better places in this city of many. The owner also has a fantastic hot pot place, one of my favorites in Taichung, and the ingredients here are just as fresh and clean and yummy. The large milk clams are fabulously scrumptious, and so are all the grilled meats. The asparagus, or chives, or grapes wrapped in beef or pork, and the chicken soft bones were particularly delicious, and you definitely have to try the mountain yam rings topped with tobiko. 🫰
