Beautifully decorated with distinctive and colourful Indian decorations, plants and colours of nature for a peaceful, soothing ambience all further enhanced by the sweet aroma of cinnamon and chai upon entering the shop. The chai I've tried were elaichi chai, rose chai, lemongrass chai and masala chai, each with its own flavour, my favourite were the classics, elaichi and masala chai, fragrant, smooth and satisfying. Cinnamon rolls were a pleasant surprise with its strong cinnamon flavour standing out. It's the first cinnamon roll I've had where i could actually taste the cinnamon and its a wonderful flavour with warming sensation, the roll itself is nicely soft on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside pairing perfectly with their homemade caramel and toasted almonds. Chaipu is an unforgettable experience for me in Taiwan and hopefully will be able to visit again in future.

This Indian tea house is located near National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts in 10~15 walking distance. Though you definitely need google map to guide you in the right direction as it shuns away from main street. This unique location renders it quiet especially in a lazy afternoon with a cup of masala tea and fennel naan. Roughly you can stay here for at least 1 hr and spend around NT200~400 depending on how much you are into India milk tea.
