North District, Taichung City｜MITICA

If you find yourself in Taichung, I highly recommend making it a priority to come to MITICA. This is one of the more unique cafes out there. The environment is extremely comfortable and relaxing, and the food is shockingly good for Western-style food in Taiwan. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and well-prepared. If you feel like it might have a weird vibe, I can assure you it does not. The dolls are presented as works of art, and the whole place has an air of classiness and artistry. From the moment I walked in, it was obvious to me that the owner had put a great deal of care into every detail. We took my wife's elderly parents here and they had a great time 👍 If you are interested in the dolls, they will explain as much detail as you would like. Everyone is free to touch the dolls in a gentle and respectful manner. We took a lot of fun pictures with the dolls here. After our initial visit, we came back again a few days later because we enjoyed it so much. We had a delightful dinner and met the owner, who sang some karaoke. He let us sing a song too :) It was a very special evening. This is definitely in my Top 5 favorite places in Taiwan, and we will certainly be coming back every time we visit.
