Alishan Township, Chiayi County｜Shan Bin Restaurant

I had an exceptional dining experience at Shan Bin Restaurant that I have to share. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Despite arriving 45 minutes before their next opening hours, the staff noticed we were cold and hungry, and they kindly offered us a table to enjoy our meal. What stood out was their willingness to accommodate our needs. The service crew recommended their set meal, initially designed for larger groups. However, they were happy to reduce the portion and even offered us a discount. This level of flexibility and hospitality made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as customers. The food at Shan Bin Restaurant was equally impressive. The grilled chicken was succulent and full of flavour, the fried mushrooms were perfectly crispy and delicious, and the hot pot soup was a comforting and warming treat, especially on a cold day.

Nice restaurant and willing to take us before their business hour. Two dishes were ok and the other two dishes tasted good. Food are fresh! 9/14/2023 update: we ordered 4 dishes today at 5 minutes before end of their lunch time. Those 4 dishes are wonderful!

The owner of the restaurant is very accommodating and kind. We were there during their afternoon break and yet still serve us. The boss recommended that we order one of their set meals, which consists of most of the recommended dishes. I told the boss that some of us don't eat much and we worried can't finish all the food. He then said no worried, he could custom the dishes and make it smaller potions and charge me cheaper 😏 😉 🫠. The set meal comes with : 1 x Hotstone pot with meat, seafood, and vegetables (lots of items) 1 x high mountain steam fish 1 x Fried bamboo shoot 1 x Deep fried mushrooms 1 x Fried wild pork 1 x Fried cabbage 1 x Fried spring chicken 1 x Free bottle of beverage 1 x Fried Yum ball dessert All the food tastes good 👍, especially the hotpot soup when you drank it during cold weather 😋. For the steamfish, it is subjective. Most of the fish dishes served in TW are farmed fish, which has some "mud" taste, but the source was very nice.
