North District, Taichung City｜Banana New Paradise

Awesome place to check out for visitors, cool old style decor from the 50s and 60s. Food is decent but pricier than other places or food stalls, good option to try if you’re into traditional taiwanese culture and style. Lots of cute spots inside for pictures. Fruit tea is good for the table to share with lots of fresh fruits inside. Kiwi smoothie is good too, better than the peach flavor (canned peach). Order different dishes to try for the table, you can ask for recommendations if you’re not sure. Staff is really friendly!

Very beautiful place with nice interipr deco of 1920-1930 baroque styled buildings. All items on display were authentic items from the past. This place provides nostalgia for the seniors and fun and curiousity for the youngsters. Food was average, mainly all local Taiwanese cuisines. Price was reasonable for the portion (quite large portions imho). Dinner + photo taking and touring of the place would probably takes you 2 hours on average.

Good Taiwanese Chinese Food set in a period setting in the 50"s. Old brick brack exhibits are certainly worth a visit. Must visit in Taichung.
