Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County｜Wu Ji - Peanut Roll Ice Cream

A delicious unusual combination of traditional Taiwanese wrap, shaved peanut sugar block, what I think to be red bean ice cream and a sprig of fresh coriander. It was my first encounter with this combination and I found it to be both refreshing and sweet. The coriander contrasting the sweetness, adding a fresh fragrant herb flavour. The wrap holds the ice cream well without going soggy. The shaved peanut is crunchy and sweet, with a nutty caramel taste. The cream is more sorbet than cream based. Highly recommend.

Delicious ice cream wrap! First had this in jiufen. The one here is good enough. The coriander was kindda strong but strangely good with the ice cream. Idk what flavour the ice cream was....it was just sweet. The best part was definitely the sweet peanut shavings!

手工現做花生捲冰淇淋👍🏼This is a very traditional delicacy not easily found these days. Ice cream wrapped in a very thin pancake with freshly grated peanuts, topped with coriander - interesting combination, very tasty! A must try item if you’re in the area.
