Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli County｜Shandu Toast Bread

There are eight types of furnace-baked bread to choose from, and all of them are with distinct flavors. Using natural ingredients including fruits, grains, and nuts, the taste and the aroma of the bread are subtle and tastes better as you chew. We really enjoyed a lot eating the bread here. You are welcome to eat either outdoors or indoors, and coffee and tea are available for purchase to pair with their tasty bread. The owner couple is polite and courteous and is willing to introduce to you their specialty with passion. Do come early as the bread is usually sold out soon and you may have to wait for another batch.

Yesterday morning, I went to the Sandu Kiln in Miaoli Nanzhuang to bake bread. I went to the location and checked Google Maps to find out that it was a public holiday. I was about to say forget it and call to confirm before going back. "Hey, boss, are you open today?" "Yes" the other end of the phone replied "But it says on Maps that it is closed today" "Yes" is a simple answer "Oh? Okay, I'll be there later" 😂 #bread is delicious

The breads here are all kiln-toasted. Without making orders in advance, you might come in vain. Breads with kumquat shreds and red beans, and those with cranberries are strongly recommended, which are my favorite. You also can't miss those with mango and macha.
