North District, Taichung City｜私蓋Sky創意雞肉飯

Super interesting flavors, unlike any chicken/turkey rice dish I've had in Taiwan. This is the caramel-pumpkin option, which I was pleased to find featuring warm spices, the combination of which, albeit technically all Chinese medicine (I asked what they were), reminded me of a north african flavor profile, which I prefer! Good portion size. Plenty of textures to rotate between. The mild acid of the pickle and the saltiness of the preserved radish did well to cut through the sweetness. Meanwhile, the smoked chicken pasta was super nice and creamy, and included a generous amount of chicken. Would order either again, and will be back to try the spicy chicken rice!
