From the Taipei store to Tainan, the taste is not much different. There are occasional new dishes, but basically every dish is delicious. No mines, rice bowls are super delicious. The most recommended appetizers are roasted pepper preserved eggs (preserved eggs are of good quality), spicy chicken diced (sometimes fried side dishes are yam or lotus root according to the season), shredded potatoes, fermented bean curd spinach, kimchi beef, rice cake beef, stir-fried bean sprouts, bacon Water spinach, all kinds of agan pot, stick shrimp, skewered shrimp, cumin ribs, and Maojia braised pork, which is a new dish recently, are also very delicious. Andong chicken, baked eggs with capers, and scrambled eggs with chili are quite ordinary.

A great place for Hunan cuisine in Tainan. Food is excellent. Restaurant is neat and clean. Price is reasonable for restaurant style of eating. The most famous Hunan dish known to Americans is General Tso’s chicken. That is about it. Sadly to say, General Tso Chicken was invented by a great Hunan chef from Taipei, who passed away recently. It is not even an indigenous Hunan dish. Here are three dishes my family had, Dry bean curd with shredded beef 香干牛肉絲 Chairman Mao’s delight 毛氏紅燒肉 Spicy pot pig intestines and stinky tofu 干鍋臭豆腐
