I was visiting Kaohsiung and in need of some coffee. I found this quaint little shop on Maps and looked promising. There's no English menu, so the barista (maybe she was the owner too?) and I communicated through the Translate app. She was very accommodating and asked some questions to find the perfect cup of coffee for me. I ended up getting a pour over with ice, which is probably the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. I didn't want anything too acidic and she found the right beans for me, which are from Columbia. I ended up buying a half-pound before I left. The shop has a great vibe, with a beautiful interior aesthetic and nice playlist. It was also a treat to watch the barista perform her craft, it was like watching art. I loved her attention to detail and quality control - noticed her smell the freshly brewed coffee and also sample a bit (via a tiny test beaker) before serving it to me. Hands down, the best coffee shop experience I've ever had. l will surely visit again whenever I come back to Taiwan.
