More Comments at Google MapTwenty years ago, because my relatives lived in Osaka, Japan, I often went to Japan as a rice bug and a tourist. During this period, I fell in love with the Japanese flavors of sake, nigiri sushi, Okonomiyaki, and Hiroshima yaki. When I was in Taipei, I searched for the "shake" taste many times, but I couldn't find one that I appreciated. After settling in Taichung, I discovered that the food in Taichung is actually better than Taipei in terms of service, quality, price, and taste. My wife and I decided to eat out at 1 o'clock this afternoon. We Googled "Taichung", "Yummy", "Okonomiyaki", and "Hiroshima yaki". Only a handful of restaurants appeared. We quickly decided on the wine battlefield. It was already 1:20 when we left, and we arrived at 1:55. We were only 5 minutes away from the break, and we were the only ones left in the restaurant. The boss lady still greeted us, and I was deeply sorry for delaying their rest time! I ordered a few barbecue dishes, an Okonomiyaki, and a Hiroshima yaki. The mentaiko chicken skewers served first, which immediately exploded on my taste buds. Then came the mentaiko yam, bacon and scallops, a series of skewers, and the taste was better than that of several skewers restaurants I often visit. After being amazed, I tried Okonomiyaki and Hiroshima yaki. As for Okonomiyaki and Hiroshima yaki restaurants that have rarely aroused my interest in the past few years, this is a restaurant that I can give a very high evaluation! My wife said she personally doesn’t have a preference for Okonomiyaki, but she, being a tricky person, also gave Sake Battlefield’s skewers high praise! I have already agreed to come back with my mother-in-law next time!
Really nice Japanese food. A bit on the greasy side, but tasty and a good variety of dishes to choose from, and quick and friendly service.
