North District, Taichung City｜一湯匙 韓食料理

I came here for an early dinner quite by accident. I was just wondering around and I came across it and went in. I’m glad I did because it was such a delicious experience. It appears to be a Korean style restaurant. Before I even placed an order, the servers put down a starter dish of kimchi, cucumbers and soybean sprouts. I ordered the beef hot pot/laksa (269ntd) and it was delicious. The broth was so good, the meat was tender and there were some yummy vegetables. It was accompanied with purple rice and it went well with the soup. The best part of this restaurant was the free toffee potatoes and slushy drink. This was the first time I had tried toffee potatoes and I was lucky enough to get them freshly made. It was fantastic. My taste buds were very grateful. The crunchy sweet outer layer with the soft potato on the inside was so good! I refilled a few times! The restaurant is cute and quaint. The servers were friendly but a little shy.
