Great flavours and great attention to detail, food was delicious. Service was very good, as is the stylishly decorated space. Ingredients are locally sourced and clearly the staff care about quality. Seems to be run by a group of young people, kudos to their enthusiasm and entrepreneurship. Suggest making a reservation. One piece of constructive criticism: the music sounds like something you’d hear in an elevator or a waiting room… and it looped repeatedly. Something just a little more sophisticated would have really been appreciated!!!

We visited 猫狸村Miaoli Village randomly on a weekday for lunch and luckily got a table for four. However, we highly recommend to make a reservation ahead since there are only 28 indoor dining seats. The decor is renovated from an old house into modern style with cozy ambiance. They serve fusion cuisine which infuses traditional Hakka dishes into Italian dishes. We got a salad, 3 appetizers, a pasta and a risotto to share with a group of four and the portion was great with a little high price in the neighborhood. The food was amazingly delicate and delicious from plating to flavor. Our favorites were the crispy fried fish fillet with unique seasoning and the loofah & clam pasta which was light.
