East District, Taichung City｜蔬食本色素食坊 Pure Gourmet

Probably one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Taichung. Dishes are flavorful enough, but not too oily like many veggie places. Ton of items to choose from, prob over 30-40 items. Ovo-vegetarian. Price is very reasonable by weight, and $100-$120 will get you a nice meal. Place is bright and clean with lots of sitting area. It's right across from Taroko mall, on the west side of Taroko. It's also just a short walk from Taichung train station. For those who drive, it's difficult to park in the front, but there is a parking lot conveniently right next to it! Or you could just park in Taroko and walk over:) This place can get Super busy at times, and you could be lining up just to pay, as there are also Lots of food panda pick ups as well. Nonetheless, kudos to the team, for a well run establishment! Keep up the great work, as I would like to keep coming back! July 29, 2023 They have expanded their size by taking over the next door's space. So now they have aot of dining tables and more space for even more food items. I counted about 60 items this time.

Buffet style vegetarian place, pay by the weight. Huge variety of meals, great taste, fresh and affordable. I will be back!
