West District, Taichung City｜Goût Bar 好吧

Loved the bar. It’s hiding behind a bookshelf. It’s a decent speakeasy with light jazz and a classy cocktail bar vibe. We sat at the bar, the barman was very cool, polite and engaging. They have no menu, you just tell them what you like and they mix it up for you. Loads of types of gin, less rum. Not a cheap bar, not cheap drinks but it was worth it. You can pay with a card. It was my birthday and the barman gifted me a shot, it was a nice gesture.

Fantastic speak easy bar, it’s a noodle shop front. I believe you have to ring the bell and someone opens the main door for you. The entry is behind the book shelf. Drinks are pretty strong and there isn’t a menu, so just tell the bar what you like and they fix you up. Great place to spend an evening.

One of the best places for excellent cocktails in Taichung. Great customer service and the staff here takes their drinks very serious. No food so plan to have food prior. We will come back again tonight for couple drinks. Highly recommend!
