Hualien City, Hualien County｜自在煮義－義大利麵

this is one of my favourite restaurants in hualien. they have free (and very yummy) black tea and corn soup for all dine-in guests. the pasta is satisfying too, with a variety of options for a vegetarian like me. the dessert pudding is excellent as well. all of this costs around $200, which in my opinion is incredible value. the dining area is very clean and comfortable, and the service was very friendly, fast, and attentive every time I went here. I've traveled a good deal around both America and Taiwan, and I really cannot think of a better-run restaurant I've been to than this one!

There are a lot of ingredients and it is very rich. In terms of price, 199 a la carte is really cheap. Seasoning is quite satisfactory, not particularly amazing. You can upgrade the set meal with an additional price of 89 yuan. The corn soup is very ordinary, the bread is acceptable, and the dessert Hokkaido raw cheesecake is excellent!
