North District, Tainan City｜Bar Mozaiku

It’s definitely my favorite bar in Tainan. My friend and I just love the whole ambiance there with their terrific self-invented drinks. The overall experience is satisfying and I really enjoy the service in high quality here. It’s a great place to hang around with friends and for dates for sure.

Nice and cosy bar tucked away on the side of the street. This bar operates with no menu, every drink is made to your request. You just need to tell the bartender what you like as the base spirit, the flavours (eg., Sweet, sour, spicy and bitter etc.), And the strength of alcohol content you like etc. All drinks were presented delicately and most tasted amazing. I loved both of the whisky-based drinks that I had. I prefer a slightly more soury taste than sweet so the whisky sour was well mixed to my taste. For my second order, I requested for a stronger whisky touch drink which was palatable as well but I wouldn't mind it with a stronger hint of whisky ;p Coming back to the menu-less point, you wouldn't know the actual price(s) of your drink(s) until you receive your order. However, you can rest assured that you won't be stunned by your bill because most drinks are priced between NT$200-350. The minimum spend per person is 250. The ambience is nice and great for a little friends gathering. Music wasn't too loud so you wouldn't have to shout to your friends. You can bring your own snacks to the bar as they don't serve any food there. They only kindly ask you to avoid bringing strong scented food so everyone else can enjoy their drinks in a pleasant environment. Overall a very enjoyable experience. I'd recommend my friends to come here for sure.

My girlfriend and I planned to catch a drink before going for a movie and we ended up staying at the bar instead. The word « bar » does not describe very well this place, you go there and discover a whole new way of seeing a cocktail. There is no menu, so you just tell the boss what kind of alcohol and flavor you want, and he makes a cocktail. They are perfectly executed, revisited cocktails, and they are simply the best cocktails I have ever had. The atmosphere is really interesting too, the boss talks with you, in a very good way, not pushy at all. You enjoy a delicious drink, and have a nice social and interesting talks with the boss, it’s not an impersonal experience. The only drawback is the boss can only speak fluently chinese, so it’s better to go with a chinese speaker, but totally worth visiting for the drinks. The price depends on the alcohol you pick, it will be between 200-300 NTD. Also there is a cute cat !
