Trust the bartender, taste the skill of designer. Keep delightful but sharp, Moonrock is not the earth you should fall down.

Many aspects of our experience at Moonrock come to mind. The menu is sparce on details. A list of ingredients only. This encourages you to ask questions, and the servers are happy to chat at length about the drinks. For me, the four drinks we ordered varied from delicious to very special. I loved the minimalist presentation. The focus is on flavour and subtlety. If you're after a spectacle, it might not be to your taste. Some clever infusions, ferments, and preparations. A few nods to specific local ingredients, teas in particular, but the drinks tell their own stories. Some flavour combinations delivered, but one bold promise (black garlic in a bourbon infusion, paired with banana) just wasn't there on my palette. Maybe I'm not refined enough, or the flavour profile from infusion changed to much to place it. We seemed to be the only ones eating, but the food is as good as the drinks. Dishes were brought appropriately one at a time. Very friendly, and unpretentious.
