Tamsui District, New Taipei City｜Buddy Bar

The cozy ambience of this bar is something you can’t miss—as an infrequent bargoer, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself feeling at home right away. At first glance (and first sip!), I discovered that everything was brimming with care and creativity. From the interior design to the cocktails, I could see the owner’s and bartenders’ creative touches throughout—they really all had a hand in decorating the space from head to toe (pun very much intended... you’ll get it when you see it for yourself 😉). Out of all the drinks I’ve tried here so far, not one has an indistinguishable taste and look from the others. Special shout-out to Blue (小藍) for taking the reigns when my indecisiveness kicked in and whipped up three amazing drinks for me to enjoy during my first visit. My absolute favorite was the special cocktail named “Desert Rose (沙漠玫瑰)”—ten out of ten would recommend if you’re looking to try something different!

Best bar in Tamsui. Super generous and friendly staff. Plus so many fun young people having good time. Prices are also very reasonable and the environment is a top deal. I highly recommend the place. You’ll get to know very nice people

Drinks were excellent and bartenders were friendly. Additionally, prices were reasonable. Tip: Go straight to the house drinks rather than generic cocktails. Only downside is it’s a bit difficult to find.
