Zhongzheng District, Taipei City｜Bittersweet Bar

This bar has a speakeasy-ish entrance, which is fun and even though the lighting and ambience when you first step in make it seem like it's going to be a pretentious place, it's instead so warm and friendly! Both times I've been the server has been helpful and gregarious. Plus, the music is top-notch 👌. They have a lot of delicious and unique cocktails to choose from (I have a weird affinity for Long Island Iced Tea spin-offs, but my heart belongs to the Nutter Butter). Not to mention fried pickles 🥒! Also, I appreciate that they have a vegetarian burger because it can sometimes be a challenge to find a veg option in bars beyond the usual fries/onion rings.

This bar is just WHAT WE NEEDED in this big city to give us the “neighborhood” feeling! They have so many deals and ALL YOU CAN DRINK nights that it’s just the best place to go with your friends on any given day. The entrance is a café, open from the morning, but get inside and discover the bar area! Amazing ambience, lights, music and people. I personally go because the quality of the cocktails is good and not like other Taiwanese bars, and prices are very very fair. Have a mentioned that the bartender is an Argentinian super cool guy that makes sure we always have a great time!!??? He is SO professional and easy going at the same time, I feel the quality of the service is outstanding. Check my photos, and go visit the place!

Never been in a bar that feels so much like home ❤️ Every time I come here the service is always wonderful and the environment is warm and friendly, not to mention great music as well. High quality drinks for a great price. Each day of the week offers a different event. 10nt chicken wings on Monday, all you can drink on Friday, and more. Highly highly recommend! Shoutout to Devina and Santiago!! 😘
