Michelin star experience without the Michelin star price. Menu Creativity: 10/10 cultural elements, locally sourced ingredients and innovative pairings Worth the $$$: Absolutely. Recommend to friends? Already did. Service: Excellent. One server spoke too softly so I didn’t understand what I was eating. Luckily the chef comes out to tell a story and explain some dishes. Action plan: Seasonal Menu ie. Summer meal was unforgettable; see you in the Fall

If you are looking for Taiwanese indigenous cuisine look no further. Chef owner from the Amei tribe highlights individual tribal attributes in every single dish. From popcorn millet to blood sausage the finishing touches to these aboriginal food is immaculately presented. Time consuming dishes include shitake mushroom freshly gathered from cultivated wood stump and 18 ingredients purified crab soup. The crab is smoked then grinded down as sprinkles on the soup. This seasonal creation emphasizes eating with the solar terms, Lidong marking the beginning of winter.

M'loma is a fine dining restaurant that specializes in ingredients and flavors from the indigenous peoples of Taiwan. We were served an amazing eight-course meal, paired with indigenous-style wine. My personal favorite was eel with mushrooms and herbs, served with a turnip and yam sauce (pictured). Each dish was delicious, well-presented, and had new and interesting ingredients. Also, as non-Chinese speakers, a waitress named Jessica went above and beyond and helped explain the dishes and ingredients to us in English. She made the evening very enjoyable, and we learned a lot about indigenous Taiwanese people and their cuisine. I highly recommend this restaurant, it was a unique and delicious experience.
