Xinyi District, Taipei City｜蓮坊素食

Very tasty vegetarian food, many different options and reasonable prices. The staff is suuuper nice and caring. The seasoning of the dishes is also unusual, it was the first time that I had dill in a dish in Taiwan (with the egg), tofu was cooked with szechuan pepper. The brown rice still has a good crunchiness and the available chili sauce seems to be homemade as well. Very good! I don't know the exact opening hours but from what I see when passing by is that it is open until later than other places, probably until 8pm...

Their fried rice is the best, but if you choose to go for a set meal, they also serve different sides every day so you'll never get bored of their food (and on some days they serve a curry potato side dish that is super delicious). My favorite thing about this place is the owner. She is extremely friendly and often times offer free food on top of what we order. This is my goto place for vegetarian food in taipei.
