Xitun District, Taichung City｜Yixin Vegetarian Stinky Tofu

Do not miss this if you love stinky tofu 😍 Queue is long but relatively fast. One of the best we've had and will definitely be back if we ever visit Taiwan again.

Still my favourite smelly tofu after 10+ years, a must eat whenever I visit Taiwan. 小辣 was just right for me this time round.. it's fried to the optimal level whereby crispy and gum-friendly, and smells good but not that smelly, and the cabbage/cucumbers complements the tofu and brings it to another level. Took about a 20-minute wait on Sunday 8pm.

This vegetarian place opens until 11 pm, quite crowded, considering it only has 3 dishes on the menu. If you are craving smelly tofu, this is the right place. The chillies are spicy, so be warned if you can not take spicy food.
