Taitung City, Taitung County｜美素美素食

These are the best noodles I've ever eaten in a restaurant. The only other person in my life who makes pasta from scratch and then cooks it is my grandma. The owner of the restaurant seems to be very nice, motherly and communicative with her guests. Unfortunately she doesn't speak English, so we could only communicate with gestures. But that worked well for her and us. We are impressed by her diligence , her hard work and her inner calm. She is also a chef, sous chef, service person and takes telephone orders. Really unique! The restaurant as a whole was a really authentic Taiwanese experience for us.

The restaurant is located near Taitung Forest Park and Ocean Park but still, you need public transportation to reach here. The restaurant is simple without any heavy decorative arts and it is more like home. The restaurant is run by an old lady and as soon you will enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by the old lady and her husband. They are humble and know how to do hospitality to their guests. The restaurant offers traditional Taiwanese cuisine at affordable prices. They open early morning 7 am till mid-noon and then in the evening. The space is enough for at least 15 people but restaurants need to focus more on cleaning floors maybe because we went there on the lunar new year. They have a restroom inside the restaurant. I will recommend you to try sandwiches and pancakes.

Very delicious traditional vegetarian cuisine. Grandma cooks very well. She single handed manages everything. Price is reasonable. I have eaten brunch for 3 days continuously. I will miss this food after leaving taitung.
