Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County｜東北海鮮快炒

On a side street in Yilan sits an inconspicuous little shop, which an untrained eye might miss. The restaurant's decor is spartan and cheap, but don't let this facade fool you. Underneath this ugly exterior is some of the best food Taiwan has to offer. Like a specialty French Bistro, Freshly caught fish and mountain vegetables are prepared to order as there is no set menu. It helps to speak Mandarin or Taiwanese, however this place is so magical that you could likely just point to things and whatever you get will be delicious. Much like the restaurant itself, the food doesn't look appealing, but it makes up for that in taste and flavor. Truly a foodie's Paradise.

This is the only day I spent in Jiaoxi, and this place made my day. The dishes are fresh and tasty, the lady knew what to order exactly. (Language was not the barrier.) I wish I had one more day to try other menu. Thanks for the good service. I'll visit again when I come here.

You pick from an assortment of fresh fish and vegetables, and the chef will cook up some delicious dishes, seasoned to perfection. This is local cuisine at its best. If you're a foodie, you will be satisfied! A meal for two cost $480.
