Qianjin District, Kaohsiung City｜Qian Jiu Re Chao Izakaya Restaurant

Have been eyeing this place and finally visited on a not busy Tuesday night. An English menu was provided and the boss (?) was extremely helpful in making dish suggestions when I couldn’t decide from the huge number of items on the menu. A girl will come around and offer beer, but they have a good selection of teas and other drinks in the cooler in the back if you’d rather have something else. The atmosphere was super cozy and nice with the open air facing the river and low tables. My son loved it and we can’t wait to try other 熱炒 spots soon! One tip: if you’re watching your money, be careful what you order as it can add up quick!

Food isn’t great, but it delivers. I’m giving five stars because I don’t agree with 1-star reviews, and I think people giving 1 star didn’t consider all the aspects. Although food might not be 5-star, the staff does their best, is polite and attentive. The place has quite a charm, with enough fans to keep us cool in July. I would personally say this is 4.0

Large menu selection (more than 20-30 items), friendly and professional staff (as soon as plates are empty someone is there to scoop them up), good bottle beer selection, fun outdoors atmosphere (but with out a/c). Would go again for sure.
