Can't ask for more to eat this inexpensive local delicacy in an unique ambient. This noodle shop is inside a large temple ground and very close to its west gate. Knowing that it is a local favourite, I arrived at 2:30pm during a weekday and it is still almost full. There are 4 options to choose from - the same type of noodles with different toppings. Most seems to order the least expensive one (No worry if you don't know Japanese. just point at the cheapest one, JPY650 as of Jan 2018). BTW, free and unlimited supply of hot tea/water and leeks to go with the noodles.

Good place and delicious food, but be aware of the crows/karasu surrounding the area. They stole one of my shrimps when I was getting some tea.

The hot noodles and tonkatsu were perfect on this cold, rainy day. Very tasty! The shrine was still worth the trip even though I had numb hands by the end...
