Bowrington, Hong Kong｜Bing Bing HK

Bing Bing is certainly the gay hot spot at the moment in Hong Kong. On Friday/Saturday nights, 200+ people pack it so tight that you literally have to squeeze and push to walk through the bar. It is fairly busy even on weeknights. Unlike the gay bars in Central, the Bing Bing crowd skews much younger, mostly in 20s or early 30s, and vast majority locals instead of expats. While patrons tend to congregate in groups, there seems to be a fair bit of interactions among strangers. Its popularity with the cute young crowd can probably be attributed to the drink prices, which are significantly lower than bars in Central. The bar is relatively large for Hong Kong, though with cruiser tables scattered throughout the open area, there isn't really a dance floor. Its decor is quite chic, and its staff are super friendly/attitude-free. It is also on the 22nd floor of a fairly nice commercial building, there is a bit of a view on a clear night, that is if you can squeeze your way to the window...
