A must try restaurant for meat lovers. The beef short ribs and beef brisket were quite special. They were perfectly tender and succulent, literally falling apart in your mouth. We also enjoyed their outdoor dining area which had a nice street view.

recently visited Smoke & Barrel and was blown away by their Texas-style smokehouse cuisine. The standout dish was the beast platter featuring a variety of smoked meats including beef brisket, pork ribs, smoked chicken, pulled pork, and sausage. they are cooked perfectly using a wood-burning smoker, resulting in a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The beef tartare, fried chicken with maple BBQ sauce, meatballs in red sauce, tots with cheese sauce, and beans cooked with beef were also delicious. The restaurant also offers house-made sauces to complement the dishes. Overall, it's a must-visit spot for any meat lover.

Update 1 month later: Today (a Sunday) the mac & cheese sauce was chalkier and thinner, and with smooth noodles instead of grooved. It tasted like a different recipe. But everything else was great. The pre-ordered beef short rib was excellent, along with the brisket and chicken. Hopefully next time the mac & cheese will be back to whatever recipe they were using before. Original review (abridged): This (Saturday) morning I went for a longer run than usual in preparation for this place, and I'm glad I did. -The mac & cheese with the fried shallots on top was awesome, very creamy and rich. -The wings were a large portion and the gentle spicy sauce was great. -My companion loved his brisket (200g) so much that he didn't want to eat anything afterward so he could savor the taste longer. -The slaw was the perfect fresh, crunchy contrast to it all. -The cocktails were high-quality and packed quite a punch. -The place is surprisingly big and comfortable. Nice service and a cool view over iconic streets were the cherries on top.
