Kwai Fong, Hong Kong｜Men Wah Bing Teng (Kwai Fong)

As you walk in you’re greeted by freshly baked items behind the glass cabinet. This may look full but it does deplete fast! I ordered a pineapple bun with butter and it was nicely warmed up so the butter inside melted a little. It was served with scrambled egg and a drink for a deal price. It was delicious and super fluffy and light inside whilst crispy and sweet outside. The French toast was also deliciously light and crispy with a butter heart and served with condensed milk. As we left half an hour later before 6pm the buns were almost completely gone from the glass cabinet and we were happy we got to try this wonderful tea time snack.

The overall interior is decorated with large plaques, which is more Hong Kong style. What’s interesting is that egg tarts, crispy barbecued pork buns, pineapple buns, etc. are all relatively popular. There is an electronic display that will show the time when the next batch of fresh buns will be released. This is really good. Ordering food is also done through an electronic screen. You can scan the QR code and choose by yourself. When ordering toast, you can choose your own ingredients and then choose whether to coax or not and how long it has been. Their chicken and pork steak was supringly tender, looks like a good quality of meat is used. Price is cheap but you wont feel that the food taste cheap. Service is super quick and some of the crew can speak english that is not usual in chaan chaan teng in HK. As a food vlogger, i would highly recommend this restaurant even for tourist that would like to try authentic HK foods. Though the egg and milk tart was too greasy for me but still decent for its price.
