A cozy Japanese restaurant with few tables and bar seating. They only serve 4 different dons (rice bowl), all of which seem good value for money. We got "竹" which is the large portion of the basic don. You can eat the don 3 ways: 1. As part of a handroll 2. Just as rice 3. With fish soup added, which sears the sashimi and provides more bite. Delicious and value for money! They give you very generous portions. No service charge here.

A shop without a sign or a name shown on the outside, visible outisde is just a very plain Japanese food shop facade in the middle of Sham Shui Po on Tsing Shan Road among all the other ordinary shops. I like such anonymity and confidence. This shop serves Japanese seafood Don, menu is very selected and offers only 4 options of seafood don based on varieties of seafood and portion. Seafood is of high quality. Nice soup stock for the finishing of the Don. Normal no nonsense Japanese style deco, sparkling clean. Waitress was smart and attentive, and thoughtful. (thanks for the extra ginger at the end if you read this =) ) I was lucky to be able to walk in half hour before they closed. I heard it is not unusual to wait for 45 minutes outside. Cash only, no service charge. Opens for lunch and dinner hours only. Can easily park on the nearby quiet streets.
