More Comments at Google MapExcellent tempura that is beautifully presented and flavourful. The combinations are well thought-out but for those who prefer to choose your own, you can pick and mix. Small restaurant but service was friendly and helpful. Considering the price, this is quite a bargain given the high quality. Will revisit!
Sometimes you will think, tempura is fried food and oily enough that you cannot have the real taste of the food. This may apply to those below par Japanese restaurant, but surely not this one. A sister restaurant of the Central very famous omakase one, the North Point one positioned as a general restaurant to serve the local residents. It provides reasonable lunches and dinner sets, but the tempura quality is way better than the price costs. You won’t have over powder slurry for the food, and not overfired at all and make the tempura like pumpkin and crab not too dry. If you order the Don set, you can have complementary rice refill, of which the rice is originated from Niigata and you know how good the rice it could be. Together with their special made sauce you can’t runaway but order one more bowl of refilled rice. Last but not least the side dishes that come with the set are served and tasted in a very Japanese, which servers a very well sorbet to clear your mouth for another good taste for the main dishes. I miss original Japanese cuisine, and this place fills up my missing and keep myself up to look forward to travel to Japan once again after the pandemic.
A surprise discovery at Worfu with this tempura joint. The tempura here are freshly made as I waited 15 to 20 minutes after ordering (which was worth it); love the thin and crispy batter from the mixed tempura of scallop, shrimp, corn, onion & mushroom; the set comes with soup and salad which is totally bang for the buck.
