Jinsha Township, Kinmen County｜張阿姨麵店

This place is famous on Kinmen. Run by an 阿姨 from Indonesia who goes by Bu Ratna. Her cooking is unparalleled on Kinmen, and she knows it. It’s run out of her house (you literally eat in her living room) and she’s open basically all day every day. Her 牛肉咖喱 (beef curry), 海鮮板條 (seafood noodles), and 牛肉炒飯 (fried rice) are the best. My absolute favorite is the 牛肉炒飯 (fried rice) featured below. Be sure to use some of her super spicy hot sauces. They are homemade and full of flavor. By far my favorite hot sauce on Kinmen. For dessert, she has a Zongzi-fied form of Klepon from time to time, which is a type of glutinous rice mixed with pandan, topped with coconut shavings and a sweet sauce. Must visit this place if you are on Kinmen.

A hidden place. Found this place as late night supper nearby bnb. Most of shops close at 7pm. Wandered there and found the food delicious. The owner is an Indonesian Chinese granny married to Taiwan. Super fun experience eating Indonesian cuisine in a rural Kinmen neighborhood!
