Taitung City, Taitung County｜Rong Shu Xia Rice Noodles

I came here due to the recommendation of a friend in Tainan. This place deserves every bit of fame it has! The noodles were great, the broth was wonderfully flavored, and the owner who introduced himself to me and told me a bit about his family (between my very poor Chinese and his commendable English and thier wonderful business cards that he pieced together on the table for me) and made me feel very welcome! Everyone was happy there, despite the busy dining room, the atmosphere was very welcoming and the delicious food made everyone enjoy themselves.

It opens at five o'clock in the evening, and when we arrived at the front store after five o'clock, the tables were already full. There was another seat as we walked further inside. The rice noodles are a must-try when in Taitung. The side dishes are also very Taitung-style and mainly use local ingredients. The chili is fragrant and spicy. Come again next time
