Shuili Township, Nantou County｜董家肉圓（三哥的店）

Delicious traditional “ba-wan” (Taiwanese pronunciation) for 35ntd each. It’s tapioca starch skin with pork and bamboo. This is a southern version that’s different than the one you may get in Taipei or Taichung. It’s also not as greasy or filling—great for a quick snack. I saw that the locals will eat one half-way and then add soup (self-serve behind the cooks). So I gave it a try and highly recommend others doing so as well. There’s also light hot sauce located on each table. There are three of the same hole-in-the-walls located in the town as they’re each owned by a different brother.

Delicious, soft meatballs, two types of enjoyment with one meatball, eat the skin first and leave the meat with free big bone soup is another good taste, the meat has a strong aroma of Chinese medicine and the broth is really delicious Endless aftertaste!!!

Interesting mode of drinking soup... Be sure to ask the boss how to drink it.
