Pre-pandemic and before the ban of Mainland Chinese tourist, they were selling thousands of eggs a day. So from an electric rice cooker, they soon switched to running a factory to produce these eggs. But how the mighty have fallen. There was no queue to speak of when I was there. Other than the queue, I am happy to relive the taste of these famous tea leaves eggs that are quite unique. Savoury with strong taste of tea, they are very different from the ones I am used too which are normally more bland with a hint of sugar. Yummy but do save some room for other snacks when you reach Ita Zhao district.
