A friend invited me to dinner in Shau Kei Wan and found that Jin Kee Ice Room was open. It was bright and big, so I went in and sat down. The skin of the yellow croaker was crispy and the meat was white and smooth. It was fragrant and had a nice texture. I ordered some soy sauce, which even though I’m not a big fish eater, I thought it was good. He said that the soup had many ingredients and was very sweet. And I ordered Lianggua Beef. It's delicious. I like the beef juice wrapped in the cold melon, which reduces the bitterness of the cold melon but has a meaty taste at the same time. I also tasted the slight spiciness in the melon and beef, and the more I ate, the better. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered beef rice noodles and a cup of tea to go. The tea tastes good, the tea has a strong flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.

Small foodie treasures can be found at SKW. I recently visited and was pleasantly surprised by the great Hong Kong style breakfast selection, fast service and attention to detail from the staff. The air-conditioning was a blessing in the summer heat, and the staff even kindly said goodbye as I exited the restaurant. The two main dishes are served with Laohuo soup, which has a lot of ingredients: pork bone, corn, chicken feet, northern and southern apricots and carrots. The soup is clear and sweet. My family loves iced drinks: Salted Lemon Lime Seven.
