Xitun District, Taichung City｜覓舍

An excellent bistro and good addition to the local restaurant scene. A friend and I shared their current promotion of picking one dish from each of five categories for 2000 NTD (so 1000 NT or roughly $35 per person). The simple menu descriptions do not adequately prepare you, each dish literally surpassed my expectations in terms of quality and presentation. Service and overall decor was also higher than expected. Overall I am quite happy with this restaurant, they "underpromised and overdelivered" on a solid "date night, group of friends, or business meeting" restaurant experience.

Located on the third floor of Howard Prince Hotel Taichung, this floor has recently been renovated. Modern bistro cuisine with extraordinary culinary art. Interesting menu varieties from the award winning executive chef. Friendly and professional staffs. Bar is opened during business hours, that means you could enjoy a drink during bright day light. Parking lot at rear of hotel building.

Amazing dinner tonight in this beautiful space. Recently renovated with such attention to detail, you’ll find surprises in little corners and art pieces on the shelves. Instagram-worthy but done very tastefully. Our dinner was one of the best meals I’ve had in my life!! And not to brag, but I’ve been to a lot of Michelin restaurants in various cities (I enjoy travel and have to dine out for work/clients). Meets 覓舍 is on par with the best of the best, such as Benu (San Francisco) and L’Embellir (Tokyo) and Daniel Boulud (NYC). Wow! Much better than Joel Robuchon or Mume. If you love food, if you love Michelin, this is worth the trip!! Amazing
