I have lived near the Spice House for almost four years. Because someone has never dared to eat Indian food, I have never stepped in. This week, it rained at night, so I came here to eat. And you won’t feel the smell of spices all over your body! That day we ordered mixed seafood (this is curry) and minced spinach beef (this is also curry!) There are also spice grilled chicken, garlic naan and spice rice (I added some white rice at the end)~ The first dish was beef with minced spinach. I couldn’t tell at first that the beef was there. I thought it was just like minced spinach! It turned out to be full of beef. My friend and I each ate two pieces at first, but in the end there were still four or five pieces left... and the meat quality was pretty good, although we didn’t use cuts with a lot of fat (it would be softer). But after stewing for a long time, this beef will be really easy to bite! Spinach doesn't have a high presence in it. Compared with the Japanese curry we usually eat, the curry here is less salty, and there is no sweetness from the fruit, only the sweetness from the meat. Just the ingredients are different, so the taste changes a lot. In the mixed seafood curry, you can really taste the umami flavor of seafood. Although you don’t see the oversized shrimps, the curry is thick and rich. The shrimp flavor is genuine, and the ingredients include whole scallops, plus two large pieces of fish (one pile should be salmon, you know, everyone is covered in curry...) and several cooked shrimps! It’s a completely different enjoyment! The spice grilled chicken is super delicious, so soft and tender, but it ranks as the spiciest today. I am not the type who can't eat spicy food at all. Sometimes even black pepper will be spicy to me (ah, I dilute the mouthwash 10 times to the extent that I Totally unacceptable), so I may not be accurate when I say spicy, or maybe the two curries + spice chicken combined made me so spicy that I blushed. I don’t know what those spices taste like, but if I were to describe it, I think it’s a bit like a honey sauce made of soy sauce + honey, with a little ginger juice and curry powder added to the marinated chicken, and then grilled. My friend thinks it is delicious, but the garlic smell is not strong. It was so enjoyable that I said I would order other scones to try next time! Satisfied our cravings!!especially the Butter Naan and Butter Paneer Masala every time… Cooked in gentle level of spices and Naan s are soft comparatively. We generally do not prefer a spicy and Robin ji ALWAYS take care of our taste buds preferences… A neat and clean ambience to relish the meal! Most recommended👍

Awesome food. The owner is very nice and friendly.he has stayed for a long time in India before opening his restaurant here. He have a great deal of knowledge about India and Indian food and culture. We had a long chat about the food and our time in Kolkata. Will always go back there whenever I'm nearby.
