Kyoto, Japan｜Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu - Kawaramachi

When I initially planned my food itinerary, this place wasn't on my list. I saw a line up outside this place and got intrigued. This place serves Beef Katsu or Gyukatsu. The eating style is really cool where you get a small grill if you want to grill the meat further. Also all the dips provided with the meat are so good. My favorite was the Kyoto style curry. Also I believe the deals here are better during lunch.

The lunch set is of good price and taste, I now understand why their shops have long queues. Rice, miso soup and cabbage can be refilled with no extra charge.

It is very nice! And as you can see from the pics, there's a queue on weekends..you get lots of different sauces to dip your beef kastu into and the menus also come in English. Nonestly there's not much to choose from cause they just focus on giving you quality meat. You just need to pic a cut and whether you want the big or small portions. The meat is super tender and comes rare, so you can sizzle it up a little on your own if you want it cooked a little bit more.
