Visit to Katsukura Sanjo restaurant was an unique experience! They provide you with sesame seeds to freshly grind, allowing you to mix your chosen sauce into the ground sesame. Delightful combination of flavors. Food is very tasty - crispy katsu . Rice and cabbage on the side paired well. I highly recommend this place for a fantastic dining experience!

Not only was the food and ambience was amazing, the service was also exceptional. While waiting for our meal we were able to make our own sauce by grinding the roasted sesame seed (releasing its beautiful fragrance) then we mixed with either sweet or spicy sauce (the kids enjoyed the interactive dinning experience ). This was the BEST tonkastsu I have ever had. The pork was soooo juicy and tender with the lightest and crispiest batter. The miso soup was so good I had two bowls. Good place for katsu pork. Service staff were attentive and friendly. The fried pork did not have that oily after-feel. There was free flow of cabbage so that was a plus. The restaurant entrance is down a narrow corridor so you can miss it if you’re not looking for it.
