Osaka, Japan｜The Garden Oriental Osaka

This was an impromptu find for us after touring the city and was absolutely wonderful. The dinner is a set menu but the chef was able to arrange appetizer/snacks for us which were exceptional; I don't know if this would be possible all the time and we were grateful they could make the exception for us but I wouldn't expect it to be available all the time. I will say we had asked if we could purchase the amuse portion of the set meal by itself and our server said no but then returned to say the chef could do this other thing so maybe the kitchen had some extra time this particular evening. The wine and cocktails we had were delicious as well and arrived quickly, and all the staff were extremely pleasant but especially our server who was a delight and who didn't seem to mind how horribly underdressed and disheveled we were after walking all day. But sitting outside on the patio overlooking the garden at sunset was completely idyllic. I'll definitely be back for the full meal next time!

Super friendly staff who go out of there way to please! When available, it has a great roof space. Especially, nice to escape the crowds along the river during the Cherry Blossom season. Will definitely go back again!

Very romantic and nice restaurant. The food is delicious and the restaurant itself is in a beautiful garden. Really a lovely place. The staff is very polite and kind. And the price is not that high (10000¥ for 2 people). THE place to go for a romantic dinner in Osaka !
